Why would my doctor send me to a general surgeon for nodules on my thyroid and tsh of .17? shouldn't i see an ent? thank you in advance?

General surgeons do the Thyroid surgeries as a common part of their practice. I don't recall ever hearing of an ENT doing this work, although they may in some locations in different parts of the world.
