I have nodules on my thyroid but they are to small for a biopsy. my tsh is 2.64 & my free t4 is a 1.1. why am i still being referred to an ent?

Good question, Ask D: It is a good idea to ask your doctor to explain any significant questions that you might have. I can only guess. Perhaps your doctor wants to refer you to ENT for future monitoring of your Thyroid nodules as they can increase in size and may need a biopsy if their size keeps growing with time. You have a choice to go for a consultation now or you can wait for 6 to 12 months before getting rechecke
