Adult males have time limit when if you do not pee it is time for a catheter etc. what is the time limit with a 2.8liter bladder? camera put thru prostate says no problems. local dr do not seem to know. the worlds best docs do not come here-----?

If you have a bladder that size it is likely from long term obstruction which may be from nerve damage. (common in diabetics) The definitive treatment is best determined by a urologist. Please get a referral to one in the near future. Intermittent catheter placement is traumatic and will only be a temporary fix. You should empty at least daily.

Voiding is a complex thing. some people can hold urine for a long time without a problem and the empty completely. 2.8 liter is abnormal and if there is no obstruction to flow is indicative of a neuro/muscular problem involving the bladder. A good Urologist will determine that with other tests ( ask the one who used the 'camera'. Good luck
