If studies show no MECHANICAL blockage, but you have a bladder that big, it indicates the emptying nerve controls are gone. The detrusor muscle of the bladder is an automated system where it triggers bladder emptying after giving you a signal to find a place to go.. If the nerves are damaged, the message does not go through. Emptying doesn't happen Treatment options are few & require a urologist.

78 male no symptoms. peed fine. doc says your bladder is too big.scan - 2.8litre. catheter in. camera inside prostate and bladder. both fine.almost no enlargement. cath out did not pee. cath back in. MD on vac. other docs shrug. what happens next?

Urine is passing thru body too slowly. I drink little in evening, but urine passed in a.m. much more than amount drank the previous 7-8 hrs. Could this indicate urinary or kidney problem? Or could enlarged prostate block urine from afternoon liquids?
