Yes, of course. Not nearly as common as earlier in the pandemic, but still around and potentially serious, especially in unvaccinated persons. I hope you've been immunized, preferably with at least three doses.

Not so much. The CDC & states quit requiring localities to report cases or hospitalizations. Texas had peaked at 283 deaths/d in '21 dropped to less than 9/day in April '23 when they quit making numbers public. The vulnerable over 60 or health impaired should follow their docs advise. The rest have resumed their pre-pandemic life.

There will always be a concern because new strains are still developing. If you are in good health be aware of your environment, if not so healthy wear a mask in strange areas or crowded places that are unfamiliar. Know the signs and symptoms of Covid for your own protection.
