I have a greyish line going down two of my nails, one on my hand and the other on my toe nail. it doesnt hurt or anything. i have waited 3 weeks and it hasnt changed color/expanded or faded away. its still there the same day it appeared.

Grey lines: Grey lines on the toe nails can be the following: subungual hematoma, fungal infection, melanoma. Odd conditions like Agyria possible (silver toxicity) or some type of heavy metal collection. Given it has not gone away in 3 weeks you should be evaluated.
