Yes: Staph infections are spread by touch. The best way to avoid spreading staph is good hand washing. If you have an open and/or oozing infection, keep the site covered.

Don't freak out: Staph is everywhere.It is on the shopping cart, door handle, floor,counter, etc. If you do have an agressave staph, it is more worrisome than the simple stuff but not a big deal if you follow simple hygeinic practices (washing hands, watching your doughter for sores).While she could catch some from touching you she could also get it from her toys/floor/cart/etc. No guilt needed.It's all around us.
