I need to stay off dr. google! my ast is 19 and alt is 15. google says this ratio indicates cirrhosis! i'm pretty sure my doctor would have told me if i had cirrhosis. are these good numbers? i used to be a heavy drinker but for past 15 months sober?

No, you have to know how to interpret the numbers. Those numbers are normal in most labs, and do not indicate a likelihood of cirrhosis (although they do not completely rule it out either.) If you have been told you have liver disease in the past, you should discuss your concerns with your Liver doctor. Congratulations on avoiding alcohol. Good luck.
