I have dark red in my stool and im unsure if its blood or because i ate watermelon yesterday. this happened last time when i had watermelon. i had test done at the er on monday and they said everything is good. they even did a blood occult test?

Stool test at ER is indeed the test for occult blood so you should be fine, especially your stool color has normalized after that day. Your concern is valid because not all people have dark red stool after eating water melon. You should memorize this adverse effect so you will not be concerned in the future. Take care.
