Im almost 6 weeks pregnant and have had a yeast infection for almost 2 weeks. i was on clotrimazole for 7 days vaginally . and my symptoms are still there maybe worse . my obgyn now prescribed me terconazole. is this safe? ive read it aint??

You are correct but there is no other choice - US FDA pregnancy category C: use is not recommended during the FIRST trimester of pregnancy unless considered essential to patient welfare; this drug may be used during the second and third trimester if the benefit outweighs the risk to the fetus.
