I currently am taking 50mg of zoloft daily for anxiety. was also prescribed ativan to take as needed. is it ok to take ativan once or twice a week like every 3rd of 4th day as needed? the past 8 weeks have taken a total of 6 ativan?

My sense is that you're tolerating this combination. These meds use different pathways in the brain. I have prescribed this exact combination ( with Ativan as needed) without incident through the years but not with elderly patients. The ultimate advice must come from your prescribing physician who knows you best.
