See your doctor: It sounds like you need to be back on the zoloft (sertraline). We do not usually recommend that people stay on ativan long term. It is usually used initially to help people calm down then tapered off as the zoloft (sertraline) or other medication begins to work. We cannot prescribe psychiatric medications on healthtap so see your doctor. Exercise and avoiding alcohol and stimulants will help also.

Treatment Helps: It does appear that the treatment you previously were receiving was helpful to you. You should discuss with your doctor going back on medication, perhaps seeing if the Zoloft (sertraline) alone will eliminate your panic symptoms. Psychotherapy may also be helpful.
