Indefinitely.: If monoclonal igm gammopathy is fully evaluated and not associated with any malignancy (lymphoma or myeloma) then the diagnosis is mgus (monoclonal gammopathy of undetermined significance). The chances of progression are low, ranging from 0.1% to 1.0%/year. The majority of patients never get cancer.
