Just had a testicle ultrasound due to some veins (possible hydrocele) that i have had for several years. they now want to do an ultrasound on kidney and bladder. they have not explained why. is there cause for concern?

Without knowing why they want to do the additional ultrasounds, it’s unclear whether there is any concern or not. I would recommend that you ask the physician who ordered the original ultrasound why they want to do more. Good luck.

Ultrasound there is used for dilated veins(varicocele), hydrocele (fluid around the testicles) etc. There has to be a reason why the Kidney and bladder are now ordered. when a test is ordered pl always ask why it is ordered and what is involved in it to prevent apprehension. Pl call your doc and do so. good luck
