A member asked:

Based on the size of the hydroceles in a testicle sack, does it make sense to ultrasound the bladder and kidneys? i was advised this is the reason but they were unable to advise me of why or the connection. help? worried about it. thank you?

Apparently, your physician who ordered the ultrasound of your bladder and kidneys were concerned about possible other developmental changes in the bladder or kidneys. Consult the physician who ordered the studies, as hydroceles of the testicle sac are common, and not generally associated with serious urinary tract anomalies.

Your ordering doc should explain the reason and connection. Do not worry- pl call and ask and they should explain the rationale. if they refuse think of another doc who will.
