Some doctors do not understand window periods for HIV tests, especially more recently developed ones like the AgAb (4th generation) blood tests, which are conclusive after 45 days. Even official advice from some generally reliable public health agencies still don't have it right, assuming that the time frames for older tests still apply, like 3 months.
