No: You may test sooner, if the result is positive, it is definitive. If the result is negative, get a HIV nucleic acid test at 6 months after exposure to be sure.

Potential HIV exposure 3/5 - I performed oral sex and swallowed his semen, didn't know his status. I took a RNA PCR test on 3/17, RNA test on 3/27, and 4th gen AgAb test on 4/19: all -ve. Conclusive even with 1 day still in 45-day window period?
