As a beta blocker, one of the primary effects metoprolol has on the body is to slow the heart rate. If the heart rate is too slow to maintain good perfusion to the body, bradycardic symptoms can occur. You should discuss this with the Doctor Who prescribed the metoprolol to see if an adjustment of the medication dosage or discontinuation is warranted. Good luck.

Suspect your bradycardia and irregular heart beats are due to an intrinsic heart condition. Metoprolol can slow down your heart rate, your dose is extremely low, should not cause an arrhythmia. Your best reference remains your current prescriber and/or your cardiologist.
