I just had dental implant surgery and dentist told me to stop taking amlodipine . ( i take amlodipine 10 mg and metoprolol succinate 50 mg . ) my doctor said it was fine but she now wants me to take metoprolol succinate 100 mg . is that ok?

Likely reasonable: Amlodipine and metoprolol both lower blood pressure. However, amlodipine may affect gum tissue growth around the teeth, and the higher dose of metoprolol may compensate for stopping the amlodipine. That change in therapy may be reasonable.
