There are many things that could give an indication of blood in the urine, such as a urinary tract infection, kidney stone, or a problem with the kidneys or bladder. Often the rest of the results will indicate why the blood is present. You should talk to the Doctor Who ordered the urinalysis to see what work up is needed. Good luck.

If you have persistent but significant microhematuria and are experiencing those symptoms, my suggestions are to either consult a urologist for evaluation& appropriate testing or have your MD order the workup which could consist of a urine culture, urine cytology to look for malignant cells, ultrasound of the kidneys & urinary bladder. I favor the referral to a urologist, however.
