No, vitamin D2 supplement is not needed as long as you have adequate levels of vitamin D3 and total vitamin D. You can see by your test results that the D2 level = total vitamin D - vitamin D3 so as long as total D and D3 level are good, you are fine. Nowadays, we only check vitamin D3 level and at times we check active vitamin D3 in patients with chronic kidney disease. Take care.
