I drink alcohol ..had ct scan 5 weeks ago and liver was enlarged 18.5 cm... had a ultrasound a day ago and it is now 12.9 cm . stiffness of 4.87 kpa .. no scarring . mild steatosis ... i quit drinking between tests .is that the reason for size drop?

Stopping alcohol intake, if you can, is probably a good idea. There may be a decrease in size of the liver, but this is likely related to the imaging modality (CT vs ultrasound) than rapid improvement in the time interval described.
