The extraction itself has nothing to do with your failure to urinate. Without knowing what medications were used for sedation and anesthesia it is difficult to provide further advice.

Post operative urinary retention[POUR] is normal after surgical procedures. The preoperative medications and the type of anesthesia have a lot to do with the urinary retention. Intermittent catheterization and a alpha blocker such as Tamsulosin is usually recommended and takes up to 72 hours for normal urinary to return.
