My latest mammogram was negative except for long-standing fibroadenoma rhs which was unchanged. ultrasound of right axillary showed focal cortical thickening up to 4 mm. they will rescan in six weeks. should i be worried?

Cortical thickening of lymph node over 3 mm is considered concerning for malignant involvement. Rescan in 4-6 weeks sounds like a reasonable plan. I also would consult a breast surgeon to evaluate,advise& follow you at this time.
