Sonicare toothbrush: No the sonicare will not lead to more recession. It is designed to stop if you press too.Hard. The reason for the recession in the first place must be removed ie: malocclusion, gum disease, smoking, traumatic habits. The vibrations are claimed by the company to clean 2-3 mm past the end of the bristles when used properly.

Just one aid, but...: It's a great aid to proper oral hygiene and if used properly, it won't do any damage. However, you still need to floss your teeth. It may help but not solve the problem of gum recession. Ask your dentist to explain to you what caused your gum recession and what you can to prevent further periodontal problems including the recession.
