To reduce the pain of epilation and laser, there are several options. Using topical anesthetic such as lidocaine is one. Lidocaine works by blocking nerve signals in the body, which reduces the sensation of pain. Ibuprophen and Tylenol help. It is important to use lidocaine as directed and to follow all safety precautions. Being drunk does not help!
