EMLA (lidocaine and prilocaine) Helps: Emla (lidocaine and prilocaine) or topical anesthetics can be tremendously helpful for hair removal laser treatments. However, the better lasers have a "cryogen" spray cooling device attached to the laser hand piece that will also alleviate the discomfort. Also, there are newer lasers that are faster and thus cause less pain when zapping your hairs away.
