A member asked:

My mum age 66 did skin grafting surgery on her leg area 3 weeks ago and it has become dark, what can she use to increase blood flow to that area or is there anything else she can do aside surgery. she doesn't want to do another surgery please?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

A skin graft can look quite discolored for a week or two but black discoloration would be a sign that the graft has failed. The surgeon would have to inspect the graft in order to advise the patient or give needed instructions for graft care.
