A member asked:

My mom, 94, has closed angle glaucoma, was diagnosed about 15 years ago, she never had the surgery and now she is saying she sees terrible from one eye, can the surgery now fix this if she gets it? she has no pain or headaches. advice appreciated?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

The best way to know the answer is for her to have the eyes re evaluated again. It may be cataract rather than the glaucoma causing the vision changes and that could only be determined by an Ophthalmologist examination. The doctor would then be able to tell you the best option and the possible prognosis.
