Pneumonia/fluid and sepsis, hospitalized 2 days, now home on iv abx. this is day 5 total for abx. feeling much better overall but the pleuritic pain is very very intense. how long to fade or how to treat? had ct in hospital so nothing sinister?

Pleuritic pain is due to inflammation of the lining of the lung. This can take quite a while to completely resolve but it typically begins to feel better day by day. If you can take ibuprofen, this has anti-inflammatory properties and it can help ease the discomfort. Take it with food to avoid stomach issues. Good luck to you!
