A member asked:

I am approximately 70 years old & have been diagnosed with borderline hypogammaglobulinemia. i have no unusual symptoms and am being monitored by a hematologist. could vegetarianism contribute to the problem? i take multivitamins (without iron)?

I assume you're not losing protein in urine or BMs & are not on chemotherapy or corticosteroids & have no bone marrow malignancy. If you have a low serum albumin, then I would suspect dietary deficiency and recommend increasing your daily protein intake.
