A member asked:

Why do i need an mri w/wo contrast before i even have an appointment. i had an mri 2 years before but they say it isn't acceptable? i also had a ct which showed air fluid level in sphenoid of 7mm and maxillary sinus disease. do i need to see a neuro?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

You have not indicated what the MRI would study/what doctor you are seeing and what the question is about. Old studies are a snapshot in time at the time they were done. New studies are a snapshot of what is going on in the present. Without more information and a clear indication of the problem nothing more can be offered. You are welcome to start over.
