My pre-op lab work showed elevated eos absolute level (.5). this is just outside of the "normal" range that the lab set. my question - is this concerning. i am currently having a silent reflux flare up and i read that asthma can cause elevated eos?

This suggests you have some active simple allergies. Beyond that I don't find the number troubling.

Further evaluation and treatment of your reflux is recommended. If you have symptoms of cough, chest tightness, wheezing please follow up. Allergy testing may be indicated. A virtual consult with Healthtap is available. Please follow up with your physician. Watch for signs of shortness of breath and respiratory difficulty.
