It could be an infection. Fever is typically a sign of infection so you should get this checked and find out if you need to treat with antibiotics or if it is a viral infection that will run its course without any definitive treatment. Acetaminophen can help with both the fever and body ache and if it is viral, there won’t be any other treatment needed. So, call your doctor.

Most commonly fever suggests an infection that may or may not be connected to abdominal pain. Given the potential for rapid progression in case infection involves possible sites in the abdomen, such as appendix, gallbladder or bladder/kidney among the most common, timely medical advice is recommended.
