Blood in urine: It is common to have blood in the urine after surgery on the urinary tract. Drink plenty of water to dilute the blood to prevent it from clotting. If it clots and obstructs the urethra, will need to have a catheter replaced urgently. Because you had urethral surgery, you should ask your urologist for instructions on where to go. If bleeding persists for more than a few days, call your surgeon.
