Rarely, reflux of gastric juice may cause that sweet taste. So if you have GERD, you may find the relationship between the sweet taste and reflux in certain occasion such as that taste occurs after a big meal or you lie down too soon after a meal. The symptom is occasional, not on a daily basis so you can disregard it. Take care.
