How many letdown needed for the baby to get adequate milk per feed?does only letdown provide milk to the baby?

Some women will sense a letdown during feeds, some do not. It is a stage when more milk is flowing/minute. If baby is feeding vigorously, wetting diapers every few hours and growing steadily I would not focus on letdown to gauge success.
