To interpret an abnormal blood test we need medical history, current medications and others. With a potassium of 5.3, a slight hemolysis or long tourniquet time with blood draw is a common problem (ideally, tourniquet should be released after blood is coming out but most of the time the phlebotomist leaves it on until done). There is nothing to concern with this K level anyway. Take care.

There are many other fruits which have potassium eg avacado, oranges and other kinds of food. Plus this figure is not very high and shold be repeated for accuracy
