Taking benicar (olmesartan) 40/ hct 12.5 my potassium is 3.0. i have to eat daily 6 banana to get it to 3.6. the 12.5 hct is small.any other causes or kidney issu?

Possible: Normally hctz causes potassium loss in urine while Benicar (olmesartan) causes retention of potassium. Please talk to your doctor.
