I have to have cervical polypus removed that cause heavy bleeding. my ferritin had dropped to 6. my obgyn thinks this is okay. 2 yrs ago i had an iron infusion for a ferritin level of 2. should i be concerned about this surgery?

Polyp was resected (more likely the cause of severe iron deficiency) and if bleeding stops then you only need oral iron supplement for a while until ferritin level is normalized and you are no longer anemic. You have nothing to concern at this time. Take care.
