A member asked:

Hi! i lacerated a few of my fingers (pinky, ring, and middle) about 6 months ago. i got surgery, but i'm still unable to bend those fingers. the surgeon said the area of connection was damaged and attached the tendon to the next joint. is this normal?

You need to ask your surgeon if this is expected and if you will be able to bend these fingers in the future. You may need hand therapy if you haven’t done this already. So, follow up with your surgeon. Good luck!
