You need to speak with your treating physician about this. Together you both need to ensure you are treating with the correct antibiotic based on culture sensitivities, and treating for the right duration based on the location of the infection. Semen does not get infected. So your doctor will have to figure out if this is a bladder, prostate, or urethral infection.

When a C&S test is done the antibiotics the bacteria are specified. That is the one should be used - in your case for at least 6 weeks for the prostate might be infected. Or you can see a Urologist.Good luck
