Psychotic episodes are a very serious thing. It may be that you are psychologically very normal now because of the meds. Any change in psych meds has to be very carefully monitored as the withdrawal period can result in tragic reactions such as suicidality and more severe psychotic reactions. Additionally, psych meds take up to 6-8 weeks for the body to become accustomed to them. Give it time.

It is not wise to make independent decision to do that without consulting with a psychiatrist that has personal interest and more details of what happened to you initially.
