A member asked:

I have an elevated crp of 18 mg/l what can that be from? does it mean i have infection, or an inflammatory process?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

That is an elevated CRP but not really high (under 10 is normal). If you have any inflammation in the body such as arthritis or are a smoker or allergies or anything with inflammation it can go up. It is very sensitive and does not always mean an infection. It is best to discuss it with your physician and determine if further tests are needed.
