Why can i hear myself breathe in my ear? it gets really annoying and a little painful.

Hear your breathing: You might have a number of different ear problems. First, if your nose is congested, your middle ear might be the cause, either positive pressure (uncommon) or negative pressure (like when you have a cold). You might also have a patulous eustschian tube, which is much more likely.

May have blocked ear: You can hear your breathing because the sound is transmitted through bone. You may have a conductive hearing loss such as wax build up or fluid in middle ear. This should be evaluated by a health professional.
