Middle ear: Most likely you have noisy articulation between one of the small middle ear bones and either the ear drum or one of the other small vessels (called "ossicles"). It's not serious, even though annoying. This often goes away spontaneously.

While it is normal for this tube to open during swallowing, for some people, air can pass through freely. I have seen this in patients who have had sudden weight loss, stress, or immediately after an infection.
