Very good evening doctors. i take metoprolol er 100mg and rosuvastatin 10mg in the evening/before bedtime. how early in the evening/before retiring to bedtime should i be taking these medications?

Taking them just before bedtime is fine but if you want a set time pick 9PM or 10PM.
