A member asked:

37yo, normal cycles, has one child, trying to conceive second. received endo biopsy result of secretory, focally inactive endometrium, neg for hyperplasia and malignancy. isnt the first part contradictory of each other or is everything normal?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

A secretory endometrium is at the end of the cycle and is typical when the endometrium is ready for implantation. So that is good. A focally inactive endometrium would mean that some areas would not be ideal for implantation. Negative for hyperplasia and malignancy is good. This all can be normal for your age and the possibility of pregnancy needs to be discussed with your doctor.
