Foot pain: Sure, you could have a sprain. Other possible reasons for your pain could be a bone spur, plantar fasciitis, tendonitis, or neuroma. If it persists see you doctor for an exam.

Hard to say: There are few possibilities, including a sprain, stress fracture, a bruise, arthritis or tendonitis. Often when there is pain without an injury it is a stress fracture. I recommend seeing a podiatrist and get an xray.
