It happens, teeth can settle in once brackets and wires are removed. As advised so many times, talk to your orthodontist.

Your teeth will continue to move for the rest of your life. Bone is not like concrete, it changes with time. Retainers are designed to minimize change. For that reason we have our patients wear their retainers 24/7 for a full year, followed by night time wear for only as long as they want their teeth to stay straight. Talk to your Orthodontist.
